BOGOs & Recognizing Sponsors

It's Buy One Get One season! Launching a Buy One Get One (BOGO) promotion for the holidays is a great way to boost sales and awareness for your Community Card. We've seen up to 8X return on investment with BOGOs and they're a great way to truly keep local dollars local. 

We see a lot of local banks, credit unions, real estate agencies and other companies sponsor BOGOs in exchange for marketing and recognition. Below are our best practices for launching a Holiday BOGO and recognizing sponsors and attached is a one pager you can send to potential sponsors.

• Reach out to potential sponsors - Reach out to local banks, credit unions, real estate agencies and any other local company who might want to be recognized in your community for their support of your local shops and restaurants as well as connect with your residents. Offer them marketing recognition in exchange for their support. Ask your board members if they or anyone they know would like to become a sponsor. We see BOGOs funded by one company, as well as BOGOs by lots of different companies. Send potential sponsors the attached one pager. 

• Recognize your sponsors– Make sure you let potential sponsors know "what's in it for them." By including their logo on your marketing materials and publicly recognizing their generosity, they will be the "hometown heros" for supporting their local businesses. Here are some ideas for recognizing sponsors: 
  •  Add their company logo to your gift card (image below)
  •  Add their company logo to your gift card page (image below)
  •  Include their company logo on your in-store signage
  •  Mention them on your social media 
  •  Include a quote from someone in the company and thank them   for their generosity in your press release.
