Now is the time of year when schools, companies, government offices and hospitals are looking for holiday gifts for their employees and your Community Card is the perfect option for them! Besides having people order gifts in bulk online, this year you can use "Order Desk" for in-person bulk purchases. Below are our best practices for bulk purchases and "Order Desk."
- Learn how to use "Order Desk"- Attached you'll find an FAQ document with helpful information on "Order Desk." You can also watch this demo for a full explanation of how this feature works. Log into your Community Card portal and click on "Order Desk" to make sure the feature is active. If it isn't, check the box and click save to activate "Order Desk."
- Sell gift cards in your office or at an event- With "Order Desk" you will be able to sell Community Cards to walk-in buyers or at holiday community events like fairs and Christmas tree lightings. You'll sell the cards through your portal using the customer's credit card. Please make sure you verify the credit card information and buyers identity as you will be responsible for any chargebacks.
- Reach out to local employers and entice them with the opportunity to support local businesses- Hospitals, schools, universities, hotels, government offices, law firms, corporations, real estate agencies and developers are all great options to reach out to. Explain that by purchasing your Community Card, their dollars will stay in the community, directly impacting local businesses, instead of supporting a national brand. They can purchase the gift cards online (put them in touch with raquel@yiftee.com) or in your office through "Order Desk." Attached is a one pager to send to potential holiday bulk purchasers.
- Offer bulk purchasers perks and recognition– Companies purchasing gift cards online can add their logo to the email header and the gift card image. We're also waiving all eDelivery Fees for purchases of $1,000 or more. Recognize bulk purchasers who come into your office and use "Order Desk" by writing a press release on how their company is purchasing a large number of gift cards and supporting local businesses and thanking the company on your social media and mailing list.
