Employee Appreciation Day is Friday, March 3rd! This is a great opportunity to reach out to local employers and encourage them to send your Community Card to their employees. Your Community Card is attractive to local employers because it's quick and easy to purchase, recipients can choose where they'd like to redeem their gifts, purchasers can set expiration dates to recoup unused funds and there's the added perk of supporting local businesses. Below are our best practices for Employee Appreciation Day and you'll find a one pager you can customize with your branding and send to potential bulk purchasers here.
- Reach out to local employers- Most Community Card bulk purchases are made by banks and other financial institutions, hospitals, non-profits, schools and universities and realtors and developers, but any local employer with 50+ employees is a great candidate for bulk purchases. Entice them with the opportunity to support local businesses while also surprising and delighting their employees. You'll find more information on working with sponsors here.
- Tell sponsors they can get their money back- The ability to recoup unused funds is rare and mostly unavailable with other gift card options. When recruiting bulk purchasers, make sure to mention they can get their money back for unredeemed gifts as long as the gifts are for awards, rewards or promotions. Once unredeemed gifts are refunded, we can send them a check or they can use the funds to send more gifts. If you have someone interested in making a bulk purchase, please email sales@yiftee.com and we'll set up an enterprise account for them.
- Recognize your bulk purchasers- Send a press release to your local news outlets and post on your social media thanking your purchaser and their company for their generosity and congratulating them for keeping local dollars local. They'll love being hometown heroes!
