Easy Email Marketing

Did you know you have access to a contact list that you can use to market your Community Card? Your previous purchaser list is a powerful tool that can be used to remind folks that your Community Card makes the perfect holiday gift for employees, friends, family and more. Previous purchasers are people that have purchased your gift card before- aka they already love your Community Card. Below are our best practices for using your previous purchaser list to market your Community Card. 

• Download your list of previous purchasers- Go to the "reports" section in your portal and click on "gift cards sold." Run that report, then click on "export to csv." That will automatically generate a spreadsheet with all the names and emails for your previous purchasers. 

• Add your previous purchasers to your mailing list-  Add these contacts to your mailing list so they don't miss any special announcements. Make sure to regularly promote your Community Card in your newsletter and include the link to purchase the gifts. 

• Let them know you're offering a special deal- Are you running a BOGO or adding a Featured Merchants section to your gift card page? Email your previous purchasers and let them know there's a special deal they won't want to miss. 

• Announce new participating businesses- Email your previous purchasers when a new business joins the program. This may incentivize them to purchase your gift card again. 

• Send holiday emails- Send emails during the holidays to encourage your previous purchasers to buy your Community Card. Remind them that your Community Card is a great gift for teachers, bosses, employees, friends and family. Send an email blast on Small Business Saturday with a message about how they can support local businesses with just a few clicks by purchasing your Community Card. 

• Have your gift card link everywhere- Don't forget to add your gift card link to all of the emails you send and while you're at it, add your gift card link to your website somewhere it's easy to find. You'll find more information on how to do that here. The more places people can access your gift card link, the more likely they will be to buy gift cards.
